The karnataka government has announced a 14-day complete lockdown from Tuesday at 6pm(27th April) to reduce the number of infections and break the coronavirus chain.
- Essential services are allowed between 6-10am.
- After 10am, shops to remain closed.
- Only construction, manufacturing & agriculture sectors allowed, said Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa.
- Cabinet resolved to write to the state election commission to defer all upcoming polls for at least three months.
- Govt to allow home delivery of alcohol.
- Inter/intra-state travel will not be allowed.
- Only emergency cases will be exempted.

COVID CASES STATISTICS KARNATAKA 2021
-The lockdown has been announced after Karnataka reported its highest single-day spike of 34,804 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. (25th April,2021).RISING the total to 13,39,201 cases.
-With 143 fresh fatalities, the death toll in the state from COVID-19 has risen to 14,426.
-In Bengaluru Urban alone, a total of 20,733 COVID-19 infections were recorded on Sunday.
– total of 10,62,594 patients have recovered. Karnataka as of Sunday has 2,62,162 active cases.
