As there are strict ban orders of physical movement in both private and pubic vehicles(PUBLIC TRANSPORT WILL BE SHUT anyways ) exams will be for sure postponed or some other arrangements made.

The karnataka government has announced a 14-day complete lockdown from Tuesday at 6pm(27th April) to reduce the number of infections and break the coronavirus chain. 

  • Essential services are allowed between 6-10am. 
  • After 10am, shops to remain closed.

  •  Only construction, manufacturing & agriculture sectors allowed, said Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa. 

  • Cabinet resolved to write to the state election commission to defer all upcoming polls for at least three months. 
  • Govt to allow home delivery of alcohol.
  • Inter/intra-state travel will not be allowed. 
  • Only emergency cases will be exempted.
  • Public transport to remain shut: Karnataka CM Yediyurappa
  • starting MAY 1 FREE covid vaccination for above 18 YEARS OF AGE and above


COVID CASES STATISTICS KARNATAKA 2021


-The lockdown has been announced after Karnataka reported its highest single-day spike of 34,804 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. (25th April,2021).RISING the total to 13,39,201 cases.

-With 143 fresh fatalities, the death toll in the state from COVID-19 has risen to 14,426.

-In Bengaluru Urban alone, a total of 20,733 COVID-19 infections were recorded on Sunday.

– total of 10,62,594 patients have recovered. Karnataka as of Sunday has 2,62,162 active cases.
